Trey Kennedy is a lifelong Columbia County resident and Past President of AGS. He has spent his entire career in financial services, currently as a commercial lender working with several local financial institutions. He earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Augusta State University.
His genealogical journey began with a family tree on his Kennedy line prepared by his great uncle. As a result, he focused his research in Abbeville and Old Ninety-Six districts, and in Greenwood and McCormick counties in South Carolina, proving the relationships in this family heirloom and building upon it. He has since followed other lines, venturing into Duluth, Minnesota, eventually hopping across the pond to Cornwall. A large amount of his research has focused on his maternal grandmother’s line, spending several years researching records in Germany.
