AGS Quarterly Program
Augusta Genealogical Society is pleased to present this virtual program. In this talk, Ken Thomas will address “Why do DNA,” and “Why is it no longer an option, but a necessity in doing genealogy?”
Topics will also cover the different companies that offer DNA testing, the three types of tests, and what strategy to use to get started and to make the most of the test results. DNA testing for genealogy is not the future; it is the present.
A Native of Columbus, Ken graduated from Columbus High School and Emory University with a major in History. Ken retired after 33 years as a historian for the State of Georgia. He has written the weekly column on Genealogy for the Sunday Edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution since 1977. He has authored two books and has been a recipient of many awards
The program will be presented virtually and registration is required.
