AGS ADAMSON LIBRARY The AGS Adamson Library is located at 1109 Broad Street, Augusta, GA. To make sure the library will benefit them, visitors are invited to use it on a one-time basis before they join the Society. The library hours are: Monday & Wednesday: 9-4; Saturday: 9-1; and Sunday: 2-5. The library is closed Easter Sunday, July 4th, Labor Day and December 15 until 1 January. We are sorry, but due to our limited number of volunteers we are not able to conduct research or answer research inquiries for nonmembers at this time; however, if you visit our library, volunteers will be happy to explain to you how our research material is organized and assist you in finding what you are looking for.

Directions to the Augusta Genealogical Library
Approaching on Interstate 20 from South Carolina and Points EastCross the Savannah River, then take the River Watch Parkway exit. At the traffic light turn left onto the Parkway. Proceed several miles to the first intersection (15th Street) at which point the Parkway becomes Jones Street. Continue through the traffic light at 13th & Jones Streets. Watch for the AGS Adamson Library on the right side of the street; our parking lot is at the rear of the Library, just before you reach 11th Street. A "garden alley" leads from the parking lot to the entrance on Broad Street.Approaching on Interstate 20 from Atlanta and Points WestTake the River Watch Parkway Exit. At the traffic light turn left onto the Parkway, then follow the directions given above.Approaching from the South (U.S. 1 and 25)Turn right (east) onto the Gordon Highway (which is U.S. 78 and U.S. 278). Proceed several miles until you reach its intersection with Walton Way. Turn left onto Walton Way and continue to its intersection with 11th Street. Turn right onto 11th Street and proceed to its intersection with Jones Street. Turn left onto Jones Street. The Library parking lot is immediately to the left.Metered Parking on Broad StreetThere is free parking on the Broad Street median, and metered parking on Broad Street (two hour limit) in front of the Library. There are several parking spaces between Jones and Broad Streets.
